We responded that we were deciding between Falcon and Jasper. The meeting went well we paid them and put our new dog in the van with us. I sat in the back so our dog would not feel alone. He stayed attached to my leg the whole time. We then got home and he as so worn out from the day that I sat on the floor with him and he laid down next to me and fell asleep using my leg as a pillow. After asking the whole family we decided on the name Jasper!

Days passed and he got much more used to us. His crate was kept in my room and after I was sure he was potty trained, I started letting him on my bed to sleep with me, which at the time no dogs were allowed on beds or couches. However, many days and weeks passed and that is the first time I had truly felt joyful in a while. I am so glad that we could adopt him. To conclude, he now is attached to me and always sleeps on my bed. He is a champion not only to me but also in dog shows. I started doing dog club in 4-H and we won champion in every class we entered. He is the perfect size just at our knee, but he can be picked up which is the part I love! At the end of the season, it was a bittersweet moment because everyone was going to different colleges to play volley.

Once the season was over we had a ceremony to celebrate our accomplishments. I received the M. Sadly, this is when volleyball started to become less enjoyable. Freshman through junior year were amazing, I played on the junior varsity team my freshman and sophomore year, my junior year I sat varsity. However, these three years I had still felt as though I was a part of the team, even if I did not play. Having sat varsity my junior year, I assumed my senior year I would play varsity. Senior year came along and I did not feel the same about my favorite sport.

In that moment I felt accomplished and was very proud because I finally got the title I wanted since freshman year. Everything happens for a reason and I felt my injuries freshman and sophomore year were meant for this big moment on the biggest stage. High school is fun and I had a lot of ups and downs but I will be going to a college with a full ride. It was a difficult time but I had family and friends push me to overthink everything. I have already signed up for classes at UF and I am so excited to start this new endeavor with new people in a place that I will call home for the next four years. It will be different living with someone else who is not apart of my family; however, I am looking forward to rooming with a girl from Van Buren next year.

We have already talked about how excited we are to be rooming with each other on social media. Another thing that I am looking forward to next year, is the Newman Club. Training hard every day while you were nowhere near the needed standards may sound like hell, but this motivation led me to something I never thought I could achieve and with enough effort and hard work I was able to accomplish it. As a matter of fact, over summer break I trained every week. I was ecstatic that I had won a trip from J. We fell asleep quickly. I found it ironic how tired a day of doing virtually nothing could make you feel.
